When I think of force, I think of a tornado or raging river. When I think of power, I think of Blessings, love, migratory birds and the innate intelligence of the human body. Of course I could give many more examples of power or force, but I’m sure you get the idea. One of my all-time favorite books is Power vs. Force, the Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
“Man thinks he lives by virtue of the forces he can control, but in fact, he’s governed by power from unrevealed sources, power over which he has no control. Because power is effortless, it goes unseen and unsuspected. Force is experienced through the senses; power can be recognized only through inner awareness. Man is immobilized in his present condition by his alignment with enormously powerful attractor energy patterns, which he himself unconsciously sets in motion. Moment by moment, he is suspended at his state of evolution, restrained by the energies of force, impelled by the energies of power. . . . Facts are accumulated by effort, but truth reveals itself effortlessly.”
You got it. Believe in the power of Blessing from the heart, spoken and unspoken.
The idea that we are in control of anything is such an illusion! When we try to force our way, things never go well. Then when we give it up, things fall into place … don’t know why it takes so many repetitions to get it, but it does!
Yes, I find when I decide to push or force something I forget about my intention. I grew up always wanting to “fix” things. But I’ve learned, if I simply offer and allow it all works much better.
I tend to believe we see ourselves as powerless most the time, when in actuality we are extremely powerful–able to manipulate many of the forces about us by our actions vs reactions.
Great post, I agree totally. And it’s not always cause and effect. We are so powerful that we can create, something angels cannot do.
That’s very deep and worth reading again and meditating about it.
It is a profound piece of work. It’s a great awareness to have.
Living it is a different thing
